Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? Dining at State of Mind in Redwood City was less of a meal and more of a soul-healing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were embraced by an atmosphere so warm and inviting it felt like coming home after a long journey--if home had perfect lighting, ultra-cool decor, and the friendliest staff imaginable. Now, let's talk about the food--angels wept. Every bite felt like it had been crafted with love, precision, and a touch of magic. Their pizzas? Literal masterpieces. The crust is the kind of thing poets write about--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, kissed by fire and dreams. And the toppings? Bursting with flavor, balanced to perfection, like the culinary gods had a team meeting just to plan your meal. And the staff. Oh, the staff! They're not just servers; they're culinary cherubs. They greet you with genuine smiles, make spot-on recommendations, and somehow make you feel like you're the most important person in the world. By the time you leave, you're convinced you've made lifelong friends--or at least found your new favorite place to spend every weekend for the rest of eternity. Even the music is perfectly curated. It's like they knew the exact vibe your heart needed and piped it in through the speakers to soundtrack your joy. And don't even get me started on their craft beer selection--it's like a treasure map for your taste buds. Honestly, if I could give State of Mind a million stars, I would. Eating there is not just a meal--it's a celebration of life, love, and really, really good pizza.

Pizza is a notch above typical restaurant pizza with really flavorful toppings and crust. Rotating microbrew beer selections. Family-friendly ambiance - expect toddlers running around and checking out the pinball machines.

I LOVE State of Mind!!! Great for the whole family. Fun vibe, friendly employees. Love the variety of pizza combinations, appetizers and they have the best seasonal salads too!!!! This has become one of my favorite places for dinner out in the Bay Area.

Wow!!! I've heard some good things so I had to try it out. This is some of the best pizza I've had in years. The salads and Wings are also Fire. I forgot to take a picture of the wings, and jalapeño bacon pizza but let me tell you..... The service is outstanding and it's a great spot for family's or if you're on a date. You can even sit at the bar by yourself and enjoy. This will absolutely be in rotation.

Everything deserves 5 stars! The service, the food, and the beer. Unfortunately did not take pictures but will be back soon for that.

I've made several trips to Stanford in the past few months and became familiar with State of Mind on one of my first visits. I'm so happy to have found this place. The pizza is great and they have classics (pepperoni, cheese) but also offer some more adventurous pies as well. My family likes to enjoy the lunch special. $8 for a huge slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza and for $1.50 more you can get it "all dressed up" with arugula and a balsamic glaze on top. We also like to order the jalapeno cheddar balls and the cheese fries that have a smoky cheese sauce drizzled on them. On one of our visits we also enjoyed a whole pie for dinner. The crust is on the thinner side and perfectly chewy. The space is very chill with table and bar seating. There are also some pinball machines and video games to keep occupied. The staff is always super helpful and has helped us select menu items as well. I would highly recommend this place!

In this order: Pickled onion strings, grandma pie, dirty fries. Then, repeat. The pickled onion strings are just plain genius. Sour, salty, sweet and crispy...and then dipped in creamy ranch?!? Oh yes! Loved the Detroit style square grandma pie with the crisp crust and fresh toppings. The dirty fries were perfect and the pickled fresnos threw me for a loop with the heat! Also on the order was pepperoni, a good ol' solid standby, but there's definitely more interesting and creative items on the menu to be had.

Located in Menlo Park, parking is plentiful but availability is very difficult. Seating is plentiful and there's a good variety of table sizes. The ultimate (5/5): the crust was super crispy. There was a good balance of toppings. The pepperoni was so crispy and delicious. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, State of Mind is a great pizzeria.

Overall we like this place, they have good pizzas & salad. We've had bunch of different pizzas and they're all pretty good. The El Blanco was good but a bit odd. I personally wouldn't order it again. The fried chicken sandwich was also just ok, don't care or order it again. Service is good & fast. Place is nice & clean.

Delicious pizza place with very interesting seasonal pizzas! Ambiance: fun vibe with pinball machines and games. They have tvs for sports events and good bench seating for larger groups. The place is quite small though so it can be packed. I see a decent amount of people getting takeout. Service is quick. Minor annoying thing is they close at 9 and really start shutting down at like 8:45 on a weeknight. My friends and I have been kicked out more than once at 9pm. Food: their pizzas are big and really stellar quality. I love the seasonal flavors but their el blanco and frankie g are classics and some of our favorites. Recently I'm loving the summer peas on peas pizza as pictured here. I wasn't a huge fan of their summer salad called sugaree, but was all good quality ingredients. In the winter, I love their seasonal salad and a pizza with fennel both of which I forget the names of.
